Angeles announce their new album, ‘Fire it Up’, as well as accompanying tour dates and new bass player.
The legendary LA Glam Rock band, Angeles, simply refuse to slow down as they announce more details about their forthcoming album. Set to be released on Dark Star Records, ‘Fire it Up’ will be the bands 13th studio album since their formation in 1977. Although the exact release date for the album is yet to be confirmed, Angeles are ensuring fans that the date will be determined soon. However, the official release party will take place on Friday 20th September at Whiskey a Go Go in Hollywood, California. The original release date of 1st October was moved forward due to the smooth running of studio schedules, allowing the band to finish recording ahead of time.
The official release party is one of several tour dates announced by the band. The dates will see Angeles travel across Utah, California and Nevada through until the end of October. According to the band, further tour dates are set to be announced in the near future.
Angeles’ upcoming tour dates will be the first dates completed with the bands new bassist, Mark Ludmer. Talking about Ludmer’s appointment as bassist, the band said; “we have been very lucky to have some great players in Angeles over the years. While Cal is still on the new album but unable to play live right now, Jim Manzo stepped in on bass when we needed him and we are grateful. Moving forward Mark Ludmer will be playing bass for Angeles. We are super stoked to have him!”
